Music News: Beyoncé issues a call to arms!

The Houston born superstar recently told fans to ‘get in formation’ whilst encouraging them all to vote in this years US election. The superstar was performing at the huge music event ‘TIDAL X 1015’ last night and issued a speech on the importance of voting from her perspective.

“Doing nothing right now is not an option, y’all”, she stated to the collective gaze of thousands of fans, “I know it seems like things are bad, but if you think that can’t get worse just ask your grandparents. Remember Barack Obama is our President. You made that happen, young people made that happen.”

However, the Knowles sister wasn’t done there, continuing on to say, “We are not helpless, the fire is still burning. Please go out and vote this November. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice, we have to use it. Get in formation. Use our voices to do something great for our children.”

Now this week has been full of political controversy and that has hence spileld into the music industry a lot. Whether it be the track ‘Million Dollar Loan’ that was released in spite of Trump, or whether it be Will.I.Am’s impression of the infamous republican candidate on SNL; the big artists from around the globe haven’t kept their mouths shut!

I personally think Beyonce’s message was far more appropriate and professional than a lot of statements that artists have been making recently. There were no insults or mudslinging, no bias or aggression, she just clearly stated about how she wants the democracy in her country to be taken seriously; a positive message for any citizen.
